- Present a package of bylaw and rules changes to the Board, including certain changes to support diversity, equity, and inclusion (e.g., broadening the definition of student member, increasing eligibility for Fellow nominees).
- Review the society’s Position Statements related to education, workforce, and training to evaluate if they reflect the society’s value of diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplace. (This will be the first part of a multi-year goal. Following years will involve drafting revised language and proposing the revisions to the Board of Directors.)
- Plan and hold at least one round-table webinar on a topic to help further diversity equity and inclusion in the nuclear field.
- We plan to continue work on one of our goals from 2021 which is to develop a plan for how to track annual meeting technical program data on the gender diversity of paper presenters and panel sessions including chairs. We will also be developing a plan for how to improve gender data collection within our membership database.
